GLARING Hypocrisy Is Now Using Secure HTTPS (SSL) Encryption

(GLARING Hypocrisy) A brief announcement to let everyone know that the GLARING Hypocrisy website is now using secure HTTPS (SSL) encryption.

In a nutshell, this means that your web browser connection to the GLARING Hypocrisy website will be secure, and that any data passing between your web browser and the GH site will be encrypted. From the beginning, our two donation gateways — PayPal and Patreon — have used HTTPS encryption.

But it makes sense for various reasons to likewise secure general web traffic to and from GLARING Hypocrisy. Doing so offers greater privacy, greater peace of mind, and better SEO rankings given that Google has confirmed that HTTPS is a ranking factor in their search algorithm. So this will help GLARING Hypocrisy to continue to rank well within search results.

Thus far, all of our GLARING Hypocrisy patrons have donated to us via PayPal, which we’re altogether happy with! So this continues to be a great option, whether new or existing patrons would like to contribute on a monthly or one-time basis. Whereas the whole idea of Patreon is for folk to contribute a fixed amount monthly.

Either way, we’re unspeakably grateful for any and all such contributions, whether via PayPal or Patreon. In the meantime, we’re excited about getting GLARING Hypocrisy setup with HTTPS encryption, for all concerned.
